On Saturday, November 13th nearly 50 friends and family members of the Milwaukee Peace Corps Association gathered together at the St. Francis Brewery for our yearly Family and Friends Brunch.
Our celebration marked the many contributions volunteers, their parents, families, and friends, make for the Peace Corps! We also were excited to welcome 3 prospective Peace Corps volunteers, and their families, who are currently in the process of applying to serve!
Our morning included a brunch buffet, a presentation by the Chicago Peace Corps Office, and a presentation by the MPCA- including a four panel interview of 3 returned volunteers and one Peace Corps parent. Our panelists’ did a great job of providing detailed descriptions of their experiences with the Peace Corps and even were able to answer and address questions and concerns presented by our future Peace Corps volunteers and their families.
The MPCA is so thankful for everyone who was able to join us for our celebration brunch, and look forward to seeing you all (and more!) at our next event!
